October
At the beginning of October, I set some intentions I wanted to have for the month. This is something I love doing most months because it makes me feel purposeful. I typically focus on an area in my life I want to see some growth. Its been such a busy season for me with work and graduate school that i’ve had very little time to see my friends and family, let alone work on personal projects.
So, for this month, I took some small steps to get myself in the habit of fostering creativity, focusing my mind on good things, and focusing away from distractions (kinda, I still waste too much time on instagram reels).
So, this month’s intentions included taking more photos, having devotional time in the morning with Jesus, eating a fruit or vegetable every day and buying myself flowers every week.
Here are some collection of the photos I took, mostly around my apartment. These little moments are sweet and remind me of the beauty in the little moments. The in-between moments. The moments of dinners on the balcony and matcha out of a wine glass. This time is sweet even though this month has been filled with anxieties and grief. For me, taking photos and remembering the beauty gets me out of the slump of stress and grief and directs my attention to remember the good times.
